Anne Newman, Ph.D., is a retired board-certified neuropsychologist. She has written three essays inspired by her grandparents' 1937 Bauhaus-style apartment building in Brno, Czech Republic. The first, "Gifts from Rosa", was translated into Czech and published in 2022 by the Museum of Vysočina Jihlava in Třešť, Czech Republic. The second, "The House on Křenová Street", also translated into Czech, was published in Forum Brunense 2024 by the Brno City Museum. The third, "My Search for Otto Eisler", was an invited talk at the fourth annual ŠTETL Fest in Brno in August 2025, and was published in English and Czech in Forum Brunense 2025. She was invited to reprise the talk for a private gathering in Silver Spring, Maryland in December 2025. Anne lives with her husband in Maryland.
